AI adoption

AI adoption is the path through which a company brings artificial intelligence into its working processes.

It covers choosing the tools, training people, setting usage rules and measuring results, so it concerns the organisation even before the technology.

The articles on this site stress one point: "The focus of AI adoption should extend far beyond short-term cost savings." When the push comes only from the top and frontline staff are left with their doubts, the company creates an internal disconnect, and that is where Shadow AI grows: the use of AI tools outside any company rule. For this reason adoption goes hand in hand with AI governance and with change management that involves the people who will actually use the tools.

An example

A manufacturer of mechanical components starts with a single process, technical quotes: it chooses the tool, trains the sales office, sets rules on customer data and measures response time before and after. Only when that process holds does it move to the next one.
