Also known asone-to-many communication

One to many is the communication model in which a single source speaks to many recipients with the same message: one person speaking to many.

Examples are the conference, the webinar (a seminar broadcast online), the newsletter and multi-company courses. The advantage is reach: many people are reached with a single effort. The limit follows from the same structure, because the message has to fit everyone and therefore stays generic. When content must be adapted to the problems of a single company, the shift is to one-to-one formats such as in-company training.

An example

A financial services company presents a new offer in a webinar to thousands of registrants: the message reaches everyone at once, but nobody gets an answer about their own portfolio. That takes one-to-one meetings with advisers. The case is built for this entry, because the term does not yet appear in the English articles.
